i'm not sure if their case counts as capital crime in the first degree, but if it does they can only apply for extradition after 8 years, otherwise it's 6. the us multiply every year a us citizen has spent in a thai jail by 6. which means in these guys case, that if they were american they'd have to do only 2 more years if they were extradited after 8. i just hope that australia applies the same to their citizens.
